The founders
Cycling Roses

We are Eleonore (27) and Victoire (26). We met seven years ago in engineering school, and quickly built a friendship around a shared love of challenges and the drive to always go beyond our limits.

Inspired by the resilience and strength of our mothers in the face of hardship, we chose to turn that energy into action. Together, we are a united team: moving forward side by side, pushing our limits, and showing that solidarity is a true strength.

Our shared adventures – cycling around Iceland (2022), Paris-Brest-Paris (2023), and crossing Portugal (2024) – have prepared us to carry the mission of the Cycling Roses association.

Today, we channel this energy into a human and collective adventure: giving a voice to those whose journeys inspire resilience.

Eleonore Maillet

I first discovered adventure through long-distance hiking before falling in love with bike travel and endurance challenges. After my first solo trip from Lyon to the sea, I embarked on a four-month solo cycling journey across Europe, covering 6,000 km from Oslo to Istanbul. I am deeply committed to promoting women in adventure and sports, and by leading by example, I hope to inspire those who dream of taking on challenges but hesitate to take the first step.

I have had a passion for challenges and pushing my limits since childhood, competing in ski, golf, and tennis. Today, I channel that drive through bikepacking journeys and ultra-cycling races such as BikingMan and Audax brevets.

I have always been inspired by female athletes like Serena Williams and Lael Wilcox, and I strive to inspire other women and help them gain confidence in their own abilities. In 2024, I had the honor of being a torchbearer for the Olympic Games in Paris.
